Uniting Against Injustice

Our Vision

We are people in the Salt Lake Community who have come together, to oppose locating an ICE Warehouse Detention Center in our community because it violates our Utah values. Those values were the basis of the Utah Compact on Immigration adopted in 2010 and reaffirmed in 2019. Together, as the Utah Values Coalition, we strive to mobilize Utahns uniting against the injustice of this proposed warehouse detention facility that threatens these values of compassion and justice.

Our Mission

Our mission is to galvanize the community to stand against the inhumane proposed warehouse detention facility, fostering a sense of solidarity among Utahns. We believe in the power of collective action to create positive social change and uphold the values that define our state.

We are dedicated to uniting diverse voices, including faith and community leaders, community advocates, business owners, human services and healthcare providers, environmentalists, taxpayers, and neighbors, to advocate for humane treatment and community integrity.

Through advocacy and community engagement, we aim to amplify the voices of those affected and promote a narrative of compassion, dignity, and justice. Together, we can build a stronger, more humane community that prioritizes the well-being of all its members.
